It's not the best job or anywhere near the most exciting one, but it's a job. It won't be nearly enough, so I'm still looking for a second one, but it's a start. It's kind of a confidential position, doing market research, so I'm not allowed to talk about it, so all you'll probably hear is how boring it is. I start training this evening.
In other news, I am getting way lazy being unemployed. I slept till noon today. What is wrong with me?

It's SPRING!!!!!!
Finally! How can I tell?
- The ultimate Frisbee-ers and soccer players are on the fields en masse.
- The park was absolutely packed with picnics, sunbathers, tennis players, youth soccer games, Frisbee players and slack-liners all weekend.
- The five mile walk on Saturday was done in short sleeves!
- The incredible lack of nylons or tights at church yesterday.
- It's 64 right now and while the forecast calls for showers for the rest of the week, it's still supposed to be in the 50s-60s, and most of those showers will include thunder!
- The windows on all the apartments I can see are wide open, and music is blaring from somewhere.
- People are studying on the porch.
- Bare feet and flip-flops are everywhere.
- I went to the mailbox with wet hair and it didn't freeze.
- I'm starting to get graduation announcements.
- The smell of barbeques is floating around.
- Everyone has cabin fever and can't wait for the weekend to go bonfire, camp, hike, and do all the stuff we've been deprived of since October.
Oh yeah, and I have an interview this afternoon! Wish me luck!

Long Time, No Write
Wow, it's been a few days, eh? Quick update: Finals were hellish, but results were surprisingly good. I've been hanging out with my family in Nevada the last few days, but I'm going to Utah today for another few days until I go back up to school on Sunday. Things have all worked out so I'm graduating in December. I could take all the classes and graduate in July, but I decided not to because my graduation would be the week my dad and brother will be at Scout camp and less than two weeks before my sister's wedding, so to save us all a little bit from the insane amount of stress that would cause, I'm taking the summer off and will graduate in December. Umm, yeah, I think that's everything.
Andrea--call me call me call me! I want to see you and meet Trevor!

I've addded a new element, text message posting via Twitter! Look over there to the right, where I will add thoughts, insights, and randomness throughout the day from my phone or email.

Freak Out Over
at least temporarily...
I had a minor meltdown today. In my department's academic advising office. Started bawling because my knee hurt, and my petition was being ripped to shreds. Oh yeah, my knee hurt because last night, I was playing ultimate frisbee with my family home evening group and a couple other groups, and I fell. Actually, we hadn't even started playing yet, I was walking across the track (the track with the bouncy springy asphalt-y stuff), and all of a sudden I was on the ground. I landed hard on my knee and I've been in excruciating pain ever since. I went to the doctor this afternoon to make sure it wasn't actually hurt as bad as it felt like. It's not, it's "local trauma". They took xrays and everything. And it hurts. I've been icing and elevating it, but it's still swollen and and bruised and hurting.
And last week I had a major freak out. As evidenced by the list of freak out stresses. None of it was as bad as it seemed. Ok, well, some of it was, but the worst parts are over and I don't need to worry about it.
Oh, and Anne's cat scan? We haven't heard yet. Probably tomorrow.
