2008 Recap

January: My sister wrecked my car and got engaged, and I turned 22
February: School
March: School, stress, school, my cousin got her mission call to Australia
April: I went home for a few days, finally got my car back, went to Utah for a couple days, and moved in with basicly the worst roommates I've ever had (for the most part), started working at the call center, and met B, although I didn't realize then that it would be significant
May: C and La came to visit me at school, Ari left on her mission, I suffered through the call center
June: I quit the call center, went home for An's high school graduation, started working early morning janitorial, got a photo I took published, and finally really noticed B :)
July: my baby cousin was born and died, fell in love with B and wrote him "the letter", he went away, came back, we talked...and did nothing official, but started spending more and more time together
August: I went home home for C and Lo's wedding, got frustrated with B, and then he held my hand, and we officially started dating
September: B and I said "I love you" on the first, my last semester at BYUI started, and on the 29th, we decided to get married
October: we set the date, then changed the date, I met B's sister, he met my mom, and I had to go to the dean on trumped up honor code issues
November: B and I took engagement pictures, I helped elect Barack Obama as the next US president, I met B's parents, he left, I got my "official" engagement ring, and ordered my wedding dress
December: I graduated from BYUI, I moved in with my parents for the time being, B came to visit, Christmas happened

Funny how a few words can sum up a whole eventful year, isn't it?

It's been interesting to say the least

Yeah, I know I haven't written in two weeks. I graduated (and I think maybe I actually did :) ), came "home" to Nevada, got the worst cold I've ever had (two weeks and counting...I feel like I'm dying), had B come for a visit and get stuck in the Greyhound station both coming and going (note to us, figure something else out next time!), Christmas happened, we're having way more drama with B's parents (although they did send me a Christmas present, so that should be something, right?), we've got wedding announcements ordered (hopefully the wedding's still on). We need jobs, a place to live, and an income (which I suppose we'd get if we find a job). I'm going crazy living with my family, sharing a room with my littlest sister, dealing with everyone's mental instability, missing B like crazy, missing all my friends, being bored and isolated, oh, and pretty much snowed in... Monday I start the job hunt in earnest. Let's hope I find something fast.

Well, at least I walked :)

We'll see if I actually graduated...yikes!

Also, people have been asking if I can post a picture of my wedding dress. The answer is no. But, if you really want to see it, follow these directions and you can see it :)
Go to CocoMyles.com and click on "Start your own design." There's line drawings of a bunch of tops and skirts. Scroll to the right and select the "3/4 sleeve modesty" top and the "ball gown" skirt (the names show up when you mouse over). On the "dress fabric" drop down menu, choose satin, then in the color boxes on the right, choose white. Then click the sash box, and choose fabric: satin, style: long, and in the color box, royal blue. Ta Da!

procrastinating

It's been like two weeks since I've posted...it's been kind of a dramatic two weeks, a lot of personal drama, and I try not to divulge too much personal information on public spheres of the internet. At least this kind of personal information. :) So I've had too much and not enough to say. When my personal life wasn't being dramatic, my school life was worse. Last night was the first night I've slept more than 3 hours in about a week and a half. I slept 8 hours. It was pretty much amazing.

But let's see...I graduate on Friday. It's so crazy. Even crazier that B won't be there, but I get to see him a week from today! Yay! Thursday is my last day of work. Most of my classes are done tomorrow. I should be writing papers and studying for my last exam, but my brain hurts. My parents, brother and sisters, and my grandparents are coming Thursday. I'm moving to Nevada to live with my parents on Saturday. It's insane. I'm only about half packed and don't have time to do any more, so my mom and sisters are going to finish packing and cleaning for me on Friday while I try to get more graduation tickets, turn in papers, etc, etc, etc...

In other news, wedding plans are coming along.

I should get back to work, because, well, because I should. So cheerio kind friends. Blessed finals week to you all, whether you have finals or not.
